Self-cleaning function
The appliance has a self-cleaning function that allows you to automatically clean
the rotary brush

, the brush chamber in the foot section

and the suction
channel after use.

Place the switched-off appliance on the storage tray

of the parking and
cleaning station (see fig. 31).

Press the self-cleaning switch

The following cleaning programme is started:
1. The rotary brush

is started for approx. 20 seconds and cleaning solution is
applied to the rotary brush

2. The rotary brush

turns and the vacuum function remains active for approx.
30 seconds while cleaning solution is applied to the rotary brush

.
3. The appliance will switch off automatically when the cleaning programme
completes.
Manual cleaning
For heavier soiling, it is necessary to manually clean the rotary brush

, the
splash guard

and the brush chamber in the foot section
3
of the appliance.
If this occurs, do the following:

Make sure that the appliance is not plugged in.
Ƈ
Take hold of the top of the splash guard

by the edge of the handle (
PULL
)
and pull it forward to remove it from the foot section
