Inserting / Replacing Batteries
Note:
the batteries must be inserted prior to initial
use. First, remove the insulating strips from the battery
compartment
3
.
Note:
if the scales do not respond, remove and
reinsert the batteries.
Open the battery compartment cover
3
.
Insert the three included batteries (with the cor-
rect polarity) in the battery compartment

.
Please note the markings inside the battery
compartment
3
.
Close the battery compartment cover
3
until
you hear it click into place.
Positioning the scales
Place the scales on a stable, level
surface. A solid floor covering is re-
quired in order to achieve correct
weight measurements.
Adjusting the unit of weight
The factory default setting for the scales as supplied
is „kg”. If you wish to switch to „lb“ or „st“, press
the UNIT button
4
on the back of the scales as
many times as required.
Operation
Tip:
if possible, always weigh yourself at the same
time of day (preferably in the morning) after visiting
the toilet, with an empty stomach and without clothing
to ensure that your results are comparable.
Note:
if the location or the batteries are changed,
the scales must be re-calibrated. To re-calibrate, do
the following: step onto the scales quickly. Step off
the platform
1
. The scales will be calibrated auto-
matically. Wait until the scales switch off automati-
cally. The scales are now calibrated and you can
weigh yourself.
Measurements
Step onto the scales barefoot and be sure to
stand still on the platform
1
with the weight
distributed equally between both legs.
Note:
if possible, stand on the same area of
the platform
1
each time and do not move.
Moving during the weighing process can lead
to discrepancies in the results.
The scales will start to measure immediately.
The weight display in the LED display
2
will
blink before showing the result.
Step off the platform
1
. The measurement
value in the LED display
2
will disappear after
about 10 seconds. Until then the weight meas-
urement remains visible.
Turning off the scales
The scales feature an automatic shut-off function
and will automatically switch off after displaying
the results.
