Activating/deactivating the key lock
To avoid accidentally changing the temperature setting during smoothing, you
can activate the key lock:
Ƈ Hold down the + button for about 2 seconds. The buttons are now locked
and the lock symbol appears on the LED display .

Press the
+
button again for about 2 seconds to deactivate the key lock.
The buttons are now unlocked and the lock symbol disappears from the
LED display
.
Automatic switch-off
If no button is pressed for about 25 minutes, the LED display starts to flash.
After a further 5 minutes, the appliance switches off automatically and the LED
display
goes out.
Press and hold the ON/OFF button for approx. 1 second to switch the
appliance on again.
NOTE
► The automatic switch-off is a safety function only and is not intended as a
replacement for switching the appliance off properly using the ON/OFF
button

Ionisation function
The symbol on the LED display represents the ionisation function. As long
as the appliance is switched on, ions are continuously applied to the hair through
the ion outlets
. The ionisation function ensures that the static charge of the hair
is reduced. The hair becomes smooth, shiny and easier to style.
Styling hair
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► Parts of the appliance get very hot during use! Always hold the appliance
by its handle when it is hot. Also make sure that the ceramic coating does
not touch the scalp or other parts of the skin. Risk of burns!
NOTE
► Excessive temperatures, extended contact with the hair or very frequent
straightening can damage the hair. Do not treat a single strand of hair
repeatedly, especially at high temperatures.
► The hair should be clean, dry and free of styling products. The only
exception to this are special products which facilitate hair straightening,
such as a heat protection spray.
Ƈ Comb the dry hair carefully.

Switch on the appliance and set the desired temperature.
