CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Always guide the cable through the corresponding recess on the base

which is intended for this purpose, in order to ensure stability .
NOTE
► Always wind the power cable around the cable winder

in clockwise direction .
This is the only way that you can reduce the length of the cable to a minimum,
allowing you to guide the cable through the recess in the base
4
(see fig . 1) .

Initial use

► Always and only use freshly drawn mains water in the kettle! Do not consume
any water that is not certified as potable . If you do, you are taking a risk
with your health!
Before starting the appliance up, make certain that …
– the appliance, plug and power cable are in a serviceable
condition and …
– all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance .
1) Open the lid by pressing on the release button

2) Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX mark and let it come to a full
boil once – as described in the next section .
3) After it has boiled, pour this water away .
