7.1. Cutting/trimming hair
DANGER!
Take care when shaving areas of the body with thinner skin (for
example, armpits or pubic area). There is a risk of injury.
Firstly, familiarise yourself with the body trimmer and try to hold it so that the on/off
button (5) can be easily pressed. Please make sure that it rests securely in your hand.
If you do not wish to remove the hair entirely, use a comb attachment (8, 9, 10).
If you are not sure which comb attachment (8, 9, 10) you should use, start with the
largest (9) first and then change to a smaller one (10, 8) if you need to.
Switch on the body trimmer by pressing the on/off button (5).
Always switch on the body trimmer first before you start trimming. This will prevent
the blades from getting blocked.
Position the body trimmer on the skin so that the shaving foil is resting on the skin, but it
does not touch the two cutters (6).
To avoid injury or skin irritation when trimming folds of the skin or areas with thinner
skin, you should stretch the skin with your fingers.
When a comb attachment (8, 9, 10) is attached, the hair is shortened to the chosen
length. The comb attachments (8, 9, 10) need to be fitted so that the teeth of the comb
attachments (8, 9, 10) are pointing in the direction in which the body trimmer moves.
Without a comb attachment (8, 9, 10), the hair is cut by the cutters (6). The shaving foil
(7), which follows the cutters (6) during trimming, then ensures that the area of skin that
has just been trimmed is given a fine shave.
When using without a comb attachment (8, 9, 10): Move the body trimmer back and
forth over the area of skin being trimmed in order to achieve the desired result.
