Therefore regularly descale the glass kettle (varies
by lime content in the water and frequency of use).
Only use citric acid or lime dissolver suitable for food
containers from a houseware shop (e.g. coffee maker
cleaner), do not use acetic acid or other acids.
Fill the water reservoir

(e.g. coffee maker cleaner).
Unplug from the protective ground socket. Lime-
scale will dissolve as the water cools.

Repeat the process for thick layers of limescale.
note:
Descaling may be interrupted, even if some
limescale remains. Descaling down to the bare metal
surface is not required.
After descaling, simmer 2–3 fillings of fresh water
and discard the water.
Storage
Once the glass kettle has cooled down and is
cleaned, proceed as follows:
If necessary, unplug the mains plug from the
protective ground socket.
Wrap the mains cable on the cable wrap of
the base station

Now store the glass kettle in a dry location.
