Sling Application, Clip Attachment:
Ensuring the sling label is on the outside of the
sling and facing the right way up, glide the sling
down the back of the patient to just past base
of spine.
Glide each leg section under each thigh. Ensure
that the leg sections have not become twisted.
Fit the shoulder clip attachments to the
spreader bar. As before when securing the clips
there should be a click sound to confirm the clip
is located correctly.
Ensure the patient is positioned correctly before
commencing the transfer.
Take the leg sections of the sling and place
them down each side of the patient.
Fit the leg clip attachments to the lower studs.
When securing the clips there should be a ‘click’
sound to confirm the clip is located correctly.
