4.3 Limits for use, space, life.
The machine has been designed and built for use on open-air
construction sites, according to the climate conditions with reference to the previous paragraph (4.2).
The machine must never be used in underground excavations, in areas at risk for explosions or fires, in
closed places. The machine is designed for preparing and mixing concrete: sand, pebble gravel, cement,
water and for use on construction sites only.
Ensure the areas of respect of the machine according to the TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS;
CAUTION !!!!!! EVERY USE of the Machine different than those stated by the manufacturer in this
Instruction Manual is an improper use. Therefore, the company SILLA cannot accept any responsibility,
if the machine should be used by the operator for different uses than those listed in this INSTRUCTION
MANUAL or those not complying with the operations.
4.4
Noise The following table informs on: - the noise emission level of the concrete mixer
measured at the operator’s ear (LpA at 1 m, according to EEC Directive 98/37) .
- the noise emission level in the environment (power LwA), measured according to EN ISO 3744
(2000/14/EC). In order to not increase the noise level strictly follow these rules :
- Clean and grease the machine elements according to the maintenance schedule;
- Ensure the machine parts are not obstructed or
damaged.
With this noise emission level the use of
protective equipment like earmuffs, earplugs, etc. is
mandatory.
These noise values are emission levels and not necessarily safe working levels. While there is a correlation
between the emission levels and the exposition levels, it cannot be used in a reliable way to evaluate whether there is or
nor the n
eed for additional precautions. The factors affecting the worker’s real exposition level include the duration of
the Exposition, the environmental characteristics, other emission sources like for example the number of adjacent
machines and types of machining. The single exposition levels may also differ from country to country.
However, thanks to this information the user of the machine can better evaluate the dangers and risks.
5. INSTALLATION
5.1
Transport The concrete mixers are delivered semi-assembled with the
bucket fixed in the upper position, the wheels disassembled and the legs in the
lowest position. Thanks to their solidity and their shape the machines are easy to
handle and to stock without damages. The motor, reduction unit, hydraulic unit and
the control distributor are fully assembled on the machine, together with the lower protections
and the electric control board. The weight of the machine is stated on the EC plate; due to
its considerable weight, the machine shall not be manually handled. It shall be hoisted by
means of a crane and hooked as shown in the figure. The machine is delivered with the
following accessories: - 4 wheels; - 1 drawbar; - 1 series of keys;
