3.4 KEYBOARD
Acoustic signals
All the keys are coupled to an acoustic signal which tells the user that the command has been
actually executed (with the exception of the switching off).
LIST OF KEYS AND DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
ON/OFF.
To turn the instrument
on/off keep the key
pressed for 2 seconds.
Reset key.
By pressing this key, METALLA
PRO sets the zero for displaying
at the values measured at that
moment both for the function of
Metal Detection and the function
of Electric Cables Detection. This
function allows removing from the
following measurements the
background noise in order to
achieve a more accurate
detection with the maximum
sensitivity. In order to assure
correct zero setting it is
recommended not to move
METALLA PRO until
measurement is again displayed.
Threshold Increasing Key.
By pressing this key the
threshold of the acoustic
alarm for Electric Cables
Detection can be increased.
Besides, it is possible to “turn
off” the sound of the threshold
of the alarm by increasing said
threshold until it disappears
from the graphic bar.
After two seconds of inactivity,
METALLA PRO is set on the
Metal Detection function and
the same adjustment can be
repeated. After two more
seconds of inactivity, the
instrument goes back to the
measurement function.
Threshold Lowering
Key.
By pressing this key it
is possible to lower the
threshold of the
acoustic signal on the
graduated bar for the
Detection of Electric
Cables.
After two seconds of
inactivity, METALLA
PRO gets positioned
on the function
Detection of Metals so
that it is possible to
perform the same kind
of adjustment.
After two more
seconds of inactivity,
the instrument goes
back to the function of
measurement.
