SELECTIVE DETECTION OF METAL PIPES
In the presence of a metal pipe traced, there is a MAXS zone where the intensity of the signal
detected is homogeneous.
The extension of this area on the wall depends on the dimensions of the metal pipe and on how
deep it is located into the wall.
Being necessary an exact detection, do the following:
1. Locate the MAXS zone.
2. While leaning on the wall, move slightly right and left till the point where the linear bar (the
one for Metal Detection) shows a reduced number of segments.
3. Zero set the signal by pressing the RESET key and go back to the MAXS zone checking
the reduction of its surface.
4. Repeat the same operation until the MAXS zone is reduced to 5 cm.
5. Stop where the bar shows the maximum signal. This is the point corresponding to the exact
location of the pipe.
This system allows correctly detecting the location of metal pipes in walls of any kind, including
reinforced concrete walls.
NOTE: For sake of clarity, the following scheme shows only the linear bar relating to metal
detection.
3.7.6 AUTOMATIC SWITCHING OFF
METALLA PRO switches off automatically after approximately 7 minutes of inactivity, so that
batteries last longer.
