password is encrypted before it is sent between the EtherHaul and the AAA Server in
order to prevent deciphering.
The AAA Server can also provide accounting of requester commands and of changes in
authorization level. This information is recorded in a special log fi le that enables a
supervisor to view the activities of all the administrators. Accounting can include logging
of commands or logging of transitions from one mode to another.
The EtherHaul supports authentication with up to five or Radius AAA servers.
14.1.2
Authentication Modes
Three Authentication modes supported:
Local – Users configured in EtherHaul, including name, password and type.
Tacacs – Users configured in the AAA server. Only Admin user configured in
EtherHaul.
Radius – Users configured in EtherHaul, including name and type. Passwords
configured in the AAA server.
Every change in the Auth-mode deletes all users (except for the admin user) and
configured servers.
Communication between the EtherHaul and the AAA servers is done over shares secret.
