2 Device Description
The electronic digital thermometer SolarTemp 850 / 851 is a local indicating temperature
measuring device for Pt1000 temperature sensors. The SolarTemp 850 has a built-in solar
cell that supplies the device with energy. It works reliably in illuminations with artificial light
from 80 lux.
The SolarTemp 851 is supplied with voltage directly from the current loop. The built-in solar
cell serves as a backup. The temperature display therefore functions even if the power sup-
ply fails.
In addition to the SolarTemp 850 / 851

need a suitable temperature sensor for your ap-
plication
with immersion tube
and connec-
tion cable
of suitable length.
For the SolarTemp 851 you also need a trans-
mitter cable
.
For applications with high-stress, the in-
stallation of a protective tube
is required

p. 28).
