Caring For Your Liners

• DO NOT use bleach or fabric softeners
• Tumble dry on low heat setting. Air drying is recommended to preserve the life of the garment
Care & Cautions:
Please read these instructions carefully and consult your medical professional
if you have any health concerns. Your SIGVARIS GROUP compression garment
should be comfortable and never hurt. If you experience any pain or discomfort,
or visible marks on the skin indicative of skin reactions or constriction,
immediately remove the garment and consult your physician.
Application:
1. Apply the provided Basic Liner.
2. With the garment label at the top, facing out and aligned with the shinbone, place your foot inside
the opening between the elastic insert and Spacer Fabric TR and pull the garment up to just below
the knee
3. Make sure both the top label and the white marker at the bottom are aligned with the shinbone.
4. Pull the EZ-Close Pressure tabs and press them into the Spacer Fabric TR, starting at the bottom of
the garment and working your way toward the knee
5. Adjust all EZ-Close Pressure tabs to the 1st (20–30mmHg pressure level), 2nd (30–40mmHg pressure
level) or 3rd (40–50mmHg level) line as prescribed. The tabs must be adjusted in the sitting or
standing position. The pressure levels are resting pressures which will vary with movement
and body position
6. Monitor the EZ-Close Pressure tabs and re-adjust as needed. As the garment applies compression
and the limb volume changes, the tabs will need to be reset for optimal compression levels
7. To remove garment, unhook all EZ-Close Pressure tabs and slide garment off the leg
Use:
While the Coolflex Standard Calf is suitable for day and nighttime wear, the
garment should be removed once a day to allow for skin hygiene and wound care.
It should then be reapplied according to the donning instructions. Frequency of
garment removal for skin checks, hygiene, and/or wound care may vary according
to each individual’s needs and the prescribing provider’s recommendations.
Sigvaris recommends wearing a liner with each compression device.
