USB Mode
The Smart DJ Speaker features 2 USB inputs which enable MP3 files, or WMA files to be loaded on
to a USB drive and played back through the Smart DJ Speaker.
In order to play MP3/WMA files on the Smart DJ Speaker, first load them onto a compatible
USB drive. Simply insert the USB drive into a computer, then copy and paste (or drag and drop)
compatible MP3/WMA files on to the USB drive.
1. Wake the Smart DJ Speaker from standby mode by pressing the button on the top control
panel or the remote control.
2. Insert a compatible USB flash drive into
USB-A
or
USB-B
input or two USB flash drives into both
inputs of the Smart DJ Speaker.
3. Use the
M
button to select the USB mode for each source. Press the button to start play.
4. Slide the source control bar towards the left side for
USB-A
, slide towards the right side for
USB-B
or in the middle for playback from both USB flash drives at the same time. If no USB flash
drive is connected to the Smart DJ Speaker, the display screen will read 'NO USB'.
5. Use the
VOL
dial to control the volume for Source A and Source B.
• Press the button to begin playing. Use the
button to skip to a previous track, use the
button to skip to the next track.
• To navigate through the folders, use the
+
/
-
buttons.

MP3/WMA file compatibility with this unit is limited as follows:
• Frequency: within 32 to 48 kHz.
• Bit rate: within 32 to 320 kbps (MP3), 40 to 192kbs (WMA).
• File extensions: .mp3 or .wma.
Compatible USB Storage Devices
• USB Flash Drive: supports USB2.0 or USB1.1.
• File System: FAT16/32 (NTFS file system is not supported).
• Maximum files: under 999.
• Maximum folders: under 99.
• External HDD, card readers and locked devices are not supported.
IMPORTANT:
For optimum performance it is recommended to only use a USB 2.0 flash drive (not
a 3.0 version).
