Then you can insert a FlexConHost or FlexConNode module here, depending on the
configuration.
Here (in contrast to the read interface connections, where you have to specify either the
module or the IP address of the source on the read page) you do not have to specify exactly
how the connection is established either at the host or at the node.
On the host side you can set how many nodes should be able to connect to this host (similar
to the number of frames for interface connections). The outputs of the host are supplied to
the nodes as inputs. The outputs of the nodes at the host are AND-linked to its input signals
(Safe_Input1 at the host corresponds to the AND-linking of all Safe_Output1 of connected
nodes), whereby here it can be set what the default value of a non-existent node should be
for this linking as well as whether an error should be triggered at the individual channels if a
connection is lost.
On the node side, the I/Os have the special feature that the fourth safe output (S_Disconnect)
must be used. If this is assigned the value Safebool_TRUE, the connection to the host is
safely disconnected. This ensures that the remaining machine can continue to run
uninfluenced during and after the separation.
