ensures optimum performance.

Easy, precise customization thanks to

exclusive Sigma software and USB dock

We have developed our own A1* proprietar y MTF

factory, our sole production site. This system has the
capability to test lenses for full-size 20+ megapixel 35
mm digital SLR cameras, ensuring that they support
the highest level of image quality.   *Aizu 1

We have developed exclusive Sigma Optimization
Pro sof tware that allows the user to update the
lens firmware and adjust focus position and other
parameters by connecting the lens to a computer
with a special USB dock and use easy-to-operate
on-screen controls to create personal lens speci-
fications.

Covering the entire basic shot range

with a 35mm-equivalent full-size lens

With a high zoom ratio and stable handling, this zoom
lens covers the most commonly used zoom range from
wide-angle to medium telephoto. It also takes usabil-
ity to the next level, offering F4 brightness throughout
the zoom range, OS (Optical Stabilizer) functionality,
and HSM (hypersonic motor). Thanks to its conve-
nience and handling in a wide variety of scenes, the
SIGMA 24-105mm F4 DG OS HSM is an ideal lens for
snapshots, portraits, and landscape photography.

Maintaining peripheral brightness with

a large 82mm filter size

The lens features high-performance single- and double-
sided aspheric elements produced by precision glass mold-
ing and incorporating FLD (“F” Low Dispersion) glass and
SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass. Optimally arranged,
these elements help produce high image quality through-
out the zoom range while minimizing the optical aberra-
tions that tend to affect high-zoom ratio zoom lenses. In
addition, exceptional optical performance with an 82mm
filter size helps ensure sufficient peripheral brightness,
which can be an issue with lenses in this class.

※

If the camera body does not support the hypersonic motor of the

lens, auto focus will not be available.

HSM (hypersonic motor) features an optimized AF
algorithm for even smoother automatic focusing. The
brass mount combines high precision with rugged
construction. The lens interior features TSC (Ther-
mally Stable C omposite), an excellent match for
metal parts. In addition to a highly functional design,
this lens embodies the proud spirit of “made in Japan”
craftsmanship.

Sigma is organizing all its interchangeable lenses into three product lines,

each with its own clearly defined concept.

Each lens will feature the optimal performance that defines its line

and the premium quality that all our products share.

By clarifying the performance capabilities and design objectives of each

of our lenses, we’re making it easier for any photographer to find

a lens that is the ideal match for his or her approach to image creation.

After all, our job is simply to make the very finest lenses and ensure

that the capabilities of each are clear.

To equip the photographer to create that special image.

Making visual expression freer.

Bringing photographers and photographs closer together.

Sigma’s new initiative moves to the next stage.
