Installing the manual station
The XMS series manual stations are shipped fully assembled
from the factory.
Installation Instructions:
1.
Remove the cover
. Insert the Siemens T45 key
provided into the key lock and rotate key 90 degrees
counter-clockwise. Remove the key. The cover can
now be removed.
2. Make all wiring connections as shown in the wiring
diagrams Figure 2 or 3.
3. Using the two 6-
32 x ½” machine screws provided
mount the manual station base to the electrical box
.
CAUTION
:
Use very low torque to prevent the
base from becoming distorted. If the base is
distorted, the front cover will not operate. If this
happens, remove cover and loosen the mounting
screws accordingly.
4.
Replace the cover:
Place the cover inside the base,
insert the key back into the lock and rotate key
clockwise 90 degrees to move the cam down to lock
the cover in place and push cover down until is flush
with the top surface of the base. Remove the key. The
manual station is in normal operating position.
5.
To test:
Pull cover down to alarm position then check
to see if the cover is locked down. Insert the key to
reset. The cover should move back to normal
position.
