Check the following points step by step if no test message appears on the PC/laptop.
Is there a connection between the network containing the central communication unit
and the PC/laptop with ACS Alarm (remote PC)?
•
Check using the PC/laptop on the same network by entering the following ping or
nslookup command:
−
ping <IP address remote PC>
or
ping <Domain remote PC>
−
nslookup <IP address remote PC>
or
nslookup <Domain remote PC>
Do the security settings (firewall) allow for the connection?
•
Contact the network administrator to verify if the selected port number is open
(Default 49194).
•
Check with the ISP if (for testing purposes) the firewall can be deactivated briefly to
check the connection.
Is the Windows firewall or any other firewall activated on the PC/laptop when "ACS
Alarm" is installed?
•
If yes, deactivate the firewall for this application.
