The user should be familiar with TIA Portal.
With the relevant communication module inserted in to the SITRANS LT500 and wiring
completed as per the instruction manual, you are ready to start configuration with TIA Portal.
Reminder
If you are connecting the SITRANS LT500 on a PROFIBUS DP network, ensure the termination
switches are “ON” or “OFF”. If the SITRANS LT500 is at the end of the PROFIBUS DP network,
you must set the termination switches to “ON” on the communication module.
If you are connecting the SITRANS LT500 on PROFINET, you will need to connect your
ethernet cable to your ethernet switch or spare port on your CPU.
