For installations in which both the Ci and Li of the intrinsically safe apparatus exceeds1% of
the Co and Lo parameters of the MASS 6000 (excluding the cable), then 50% ofCo and Lo

If the sensor, to which MASS 6000 is connected, measures liquids with temperatureabove
50 °C (122 °F), the MASS 6000 must be thermally insulated or separately installed.

All the wiring for increased safety shall be in the separate section of the terminal compart-
ment and shall be covered with the plastic cover. The cover is marked with "Increased

The transmittershall always be connected to PE (earth ground) using the internalterminal or
the external PE (earth ground).

The equipment shall either be installed in an area where there is a low risk of mechanical
damage or, if this not possible, the window shall be protected with an additional guard that
provides it with mechanical protection adequate for the application.

The equipment must be protected against direct sunlight and other ultraviolet light sources.
