Parameters of the basic units and the supplementary modules
The adjustable parameters of SITOP PSU8600 and the supplementary modules being used
can be found in STEP 7 in the TIA Portal in the Inspector window under Properties if the
appropriate device was selected.
Parameters of the basic unit
For the parameterization, in the navigation area, the settings under "General > Device
configuration" and "General > Web server" are relevant.

Make the following settings:
•
Define the prioritization for output 1 for buffering when the pow-
er fails.
•
Define the parallel connection of the outputs of the basic de-
vice.
•
Define a threshold to issue an alarm.
An alarm is output if this threshold is continually exceeded for
5 s.
•
Define the system start characteristics.
•
Define the dead time for system overload alarm message.
•
Define the dead time for buffering mode alarm.
Buffering
The parameters are set here for buffer modules with double-layer
capacitors. Parameterization is only possible if an appropriate buff-
er module is in the system.
•
Deactivate the buffer component using a control command.
•
Enable the "LONGLIFE" operating mode.
•
Define the threshold value for the "Sufficient buffer readiness"
message
•
Enable short-time interruption at output 1.
•
Define the dead time for buffering mode alarm.
•
Define the waiting time until short-time interruption.
•
Define the duration of short-time interruption.
