POM4320 Highend
Compact Operating Instructions
Application
POM4320 Highend with 6 power outputs is used to control
resistive loads and is approved for mounting on a busbar
and rear panel.

Safety guidelines
POM4320 corresponds to the approvals printed on the
nameplate. If you have questions about whether it is
permissible to install the device in the planned environment,
please contact your service representative.
NOTICE

The device described in this documentation may only
be operated by personnel qualified for the specific task.
Qualified personnel are those who, based on their
education and experience, are capable of identifying
risks and avoiding potential hazards when working with
this device.

Modifications to the device are not permitted. Failure to
observe these guidelines will void the approvals and
manufacturer's warranty.
•
The device may only be used in the control cabinet.
WARNING
Dangerous voltages on power cables and radiator supply
lines
Voltages in the control cabinet exceed 60 V. There is a
danger to life and the risk of serious injuries.
Before you start working on the heating control system,
switch off the power supply to the device and secure it to
prevent it being switched back on.
WARNING
Improper repair work
Incorrectly performed repairs may endanger the user or
cause substantial damage to the equipment.
Return the device to Siemens for repair.
NOTICE
Unapproved fuses
If you operate a heating control system with unapproved
fuses, the device could be destroyed.
Use only the prescribed fuse types.
Note
•
If the warning symbol
is affixed to the device, the
information in these Operating Instructions must be
followed. The operating instructions contain information
about the potential risks and enable you to recognize
risks and implement countermeasures.
•
The mains supply line to which the device is connected
must have a circuit breaker or a fuse. The circuit breaker
or fuse must be easily accessible and clearly assigned to
the device. We recommend locating the circuit breaker
or fuse near to the device. Take the maximum current
consumption of the heating control system into
consideration when selecting the circuit breaker or fuse.
UL requirements
The following requirements apply for UL:

Circuit breaker according to UL489 or UL-listed branch
circuit fuse.
●
Observe the SCCR rating on the nameplate. Only use
the device in circuits limited accordingly.
●
Only use 60/75 °C copper cables for the cabling.
Minimum clearances for convection
Natural convection must be possible above and below the
device. A clearance of 100 mm in each case is required.
