WARNING
Slipping on leaked oil
Leaked oil can result in slipping or falling and cause death or severe injury.
•
Prevent oil from leaking.
•
Absorb leaked oil immediately with a binding agent for oil or similar.
•
Rough up the hazardous location.
•
Mark the hazardous location.
WARNING
Unintentional starting of the drive unit
Unintentional starting of the drive unit can cause death or severe injury.
•
Make sure that the drive unit cannot be started accidentally.
•
Post a warning notice to this effect at the point where the switch is located.
CAUTION
Burning hazard caused by hot surfaces
Some parts of the frame of electrical machines can reach temperatures in excess of 100°C.
Touching components when the machine is in operation can cause burns.
•
Do not touch frame parts while the machine is in operation or immediately after
machine operation.
•
Allow frame parts to cool off before starting any work.
CAUTION
Danger of scalding from escaping hot oil
Exiting hot oil can cause burns.
•
Before starting any work wait until the oil has cooled down to below 30 °C.
CAUTION
Chemical burns and irritations caused by chemical cleaning agents
Chemical cleaning agents can be caustic or emit dangerous fumes. If these come into
contact with skin or if you inhale the fumes, this can cause injuries (e.g. chemical burns on
the skin or respiratory passages, or skin irritation).
•
During cleaning, make sure that appropriate methods of extracting fumes are in place
and that you wear the appropriate protective gear (e.g. gloves, goggles, face masks).
•
If using chemical cleaning agents, observe the instructions and any warnings provided in
the relevant safety data sheet. Chemical cleaning agents must be suitable for use with
the machine's components, particularly where plastic components are concerned.
