Removal 

To remove the device from a standard rail, follow the steps below: 
1.

 

Release the screw on the underside of the standard rail. 

2.

 

If the extender is connected to a basic device, disconnect the extender, see section 

"Fitting an extender (Page 38)". 

3.

 

Remove the device from the standard rail.

Via the expansion interface, the basic device supplies the extenders with power and 

manages the ports of the extenders. 
The power provided by the PE408PoE port extender for Power over Ethernet does not come 

from the basic device. Connect an external power source, see e.g. section "Accessories 

(Page 26)".
