LOGO! PROM description
LOGO! PROM is a programming device for LOGO! program modules which allows you to
duplicate program modules. It is very easy to copy an existing master module to up to 8
modules using LOGO! PROM. Only modules that do not have copy protection can be
duplicated.
The program can also be transferred to the LOGO! PROM using a LOGO! PC cable and the
LOGO! Soft Comfort V5.0/V6.0 PC program.
When you duplicate from a master module, only modules for the LOGO! device type
specified by the master module can be created. When downloading from a PC, it is possible
to select the corresponding LOGO! device type beforehand. However, only the modules
which are approved for the selected LOGO! device type are programmed. Other inserted
modules which are not approved for the selected device line will not be changed and the
relevant LED does not light up.
LOGO! PROM only supports the LOGO! devices starting with designation 6ED1xxx-xxxx-
0BA1.
Older LOGO! devices with the designation 6ED1xxx-xxxx-0BA0 are not supported.
The LOGO! PROM V6 can be used in connection with LOGO! Soft Comfort V6 for the
following memory cards or LOGO! generations:
● 0BA5 (light-brown memory card 6ED1056-5CA00-0BA0)
● 0BA5 (violet memory card 6ED1056-1DA00-0BA0)
● 0BA6 (violet memory card 6ED1056-1DA00-0BA0)
● 0BA6 (dark-brown memory/battery card 6ED1056-7DA00-0BA0)
If a violet memory card was programmed with LOGO! PROM V5 and LOGO! Soft V5, this
memory card can no longer be used for programs of version 6.
If you want to write memory cards for devices with an older version than 0BA5 (e.g. the
yellow module), then you need the older LOGO! Soft V5 software.
