This guide for Installation and Startup describes how to connect
the components of the optiPoint 100 advance telephone and how
to integrate the telephone into a LAN environment.
Administrators who wish to install and configure IP phone telepho-
ny devices via a web interface will find detailed informations in the
"Administrator Manual".
Preparing the telephone
To connect the telephone components, proceed as follows:

Latch the Western plug of the handset cord in the handset
receptacle ("short end").

Latch the other end of the cord in the receptacle (3) on the
bottom of the telephone ("long end").
●
Latch the LAN cord with the eight-pin Western plug (RJ 45) in the
receptacle (2) on the bottom of the telephone, and connect with
LAN. Feed the cord through the guide channel in the base unit.
Danger!
You must connect the optiPoint 100 advance first to the
LAN and after that to the power supply.
The two cable ends of the handset cord are equipped
with identical four-pin Western plugs (RJ 11).
