Troubleshooting
Malfunctions often have simple explanations. Refer to the table
before calling the after-sales service as you may be able to
remedy the fault yourself.
Malfunction table

find plenty of cooking tips and tricks.

out by one of our trained after-sales engineers.
Error messages with

is shown in the display, press the

button. This cancels the error message. You may then have to
reset the time. If the error is shown again, call the after-sales
service.
You can take remedial action yourself if the following error
message is displayed.
Replacing the bulb in the oven ceiling light
If the bulb in the oven light fails, it must be replaced. Heat-
resistant, 40 watt spare bulbs can be obtained from our after-
sales service or a specialist retailer. Only use these bulbs.

Switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box.

Place a tea towel in the oven when it is cold to prevent
damage.
2.
Unscrew the glass cover by turning it anti-clockwise.
3.
Replace the bulb with one of the same type.
4.
Screw the glass cover back in.
5.
Remove the tea towel and switch on the circuit breaker.
Replacing the bulb in the left-hand oven light
If the bulb in the oven light fails, it must be replaced. Heat-
resistant, 25 watt spare bulbs can be obtained from our after-
sales service or a specialist retailer. Only use these bulbs.

Switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box.

Place a tea towel in the oven when it is cold to prevent
damage.

Remove the glass cover. To do this, open the glass cover
from the bottom with your hand (Fig. A). If the glass cover is
difficult to remove, use a spoon as an aid.

Look in the fuse box and check that the circuit
breaker is in working order.

Reset the clock.
The oven does not heat up or the type of

Make the settings again.
The oven does not heat up. A small
square lights up in the temperature dis-
play.
The oven is in demo mode.
Switch off the circuit breaker in the fuse box, then
switch it back on after at least 20 seconds. Within
the next 2 minutes, press and hold the
h
button
for 4 seconds until the square disappears from the
display.
When you press the

button,

appears in the display.
The ceiling and side parts in the
cooking compartment are not self-
cleaning. The cleaning system
cannot be run.
You can only set the cleaning system with the
s
button if you have retrofitted the self-cleaning ceil-
ing and side parts and activated the cleaning sys-
tem in the basic settings. See the
Cleaning system
section and the
Basic settings
section.

Automatic switch-off has been
activated. The oven stops heating.
