Machine
Your Gigaset 4015 is equipped with an answering
machine that will record messages in your absence
or allow you to screen calls and answer them selec-
tively. The answering machine in the Gigaset 4015
is automatically turned on when you install your
phone and completely operated through any regis-
tered 4000 or 4200 handset.
In addition to the telephone's answering machine,
you can use a “voice mail service” offered by your
local network provider (e.g.
telco voice
).
None
of
the following functions relates to the network pro-
vider's voice mail service. Check with your network
provider for details on these services.
Turning On and Off the Answering
Machine
Your answering machine is automatically turned on
and ready for operation once your base station has
been installed. For recording messages with a time
stamp, you need to set the date and time (see
page 8). The answering machine is set to use the
standard announcement until you record an an-
nouncement of your own.

Scroll to Voice Mail and press OK.

Scroll to Answering Machine and press OK.
The answering machine is now on (marked with a

) and ready to record.

To turn off, press OK with the marked function se-
lected.
The answering machine will save only 15 min-
utes of messages. If the answering ma-
chine's memory is full, the answering ma-
chine it turns itself off. Delete old messages
(see page 30).
