Entering text
You can enter names or text for specific functions (local tele-
phone directory, short cuts, messages) via the digit keys.
The following table shows the assignment of all letters, digits
and characters to the keys:

Entering letters
Press the key the appropriate number of times in quick
succession depending on the position of the letter on the
key – 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th position – or hold the key
down.
The first letter of a name is automatically written in
upper case letters. This is followed by lower case letters.
Press the

key to switch from lower case to upper
case for a particular character.
