6 Commissioning
Before commissioning the FDnet detector line, the radio cell of the radio gateway
must be fully started up.
Insert the batteries in the devices just before commissioning the fire detection
installation.
The device is commissioned via the control panel. The exact procedure is
described in the control panel documentation.
Conduct a performance check once commissioning is complete.
The RadioSpy can be used to assist with configuration.
The flashing pattern of the LEDs and the length of time for which the button must
be pressed (briefly/long time) are described in the 'Status display on radio
gateway' chapter.
Generally when commissioning, the Reed contact can also be activated with a
magnet rather than using the button.
Starting up radio cell
A radio cell must be commissioned as described below following some basic rules:
1. Start up radio gateway.
2. Log radio detector on to radio gateway.
3. Start up radio gateway on detector line.

6.1 Basic rules for commissioning
You must comply with the following basic rules:

One radio detector must be correctly logged on to its radio gateway before
starting to commission another radio detector.
●
One radio cell must be fully started up before commissioning of another radio
cell begins.
Only one radio gateway may be in configuration operation.
●
All the radio cells must be completely started up before starting up the detector
line.
