CDC-4 Detector Zones

NOTES:
1. All circuits can be Class A or

Class B.

2. All circuits are power limited

to NFPA 70 per NEC 760.

3. All circuits are supervised.
4. Refer to the UL Compatible

Two-Wire Detector List for
the maximum number of
detectors per zone.

5. Do not mix smoke detectors

with the PBA-1191.

6. Do not mix different

manufacturer’s smoke
detectors on the same zone.

7. Max resistance: 70 ohms/

circuit, 40 ohms/circuit if
accessories (relay/audible
bases) are used.

8. Do not use shorting devices

on circuits with accessories
on them.

9. Only one device accessory

per circuit is guaranteed to
activate on the CDC-4.

10. When mixing different

model detectors on a zone,
do not install more detectors
than the smallest number
shown in the “Number of
Detectors Per Zone” column
of the compatibility table.
For example, if installing
Siemens PE-11 and PE-3
detectors on the same zone,
do not install more than
fifteen detectors on that
zone. When configuring the
zone in Zeus, enter the
model name of the detector
with the smallest number
(PE-3 in this example).

11. Positive and negative ground

fault detected at <20K ohms
for terminals 1-16.
