Assignment of the 7XV5100-4 RS232 Cable
The RS232 cable is used to connect the serial 9-pin PC port (for example COM1) to a protection device, optical
mini star coupler, or converter with a 9-pin user interface.

Use only optical fibers prepared as per regulations.
You can order a fiber-optic cable from Siemens with the order numbers 6XV8100 or 6XV8200.
Connect the fiber-optic cable via the ST connectors with the appropriate fiber-optic elements.

When routing fiber-optic cables, pay attention to the prescribed bending radius.
