Fail-safe operation
Safety-oriented dialogs
"Fatal Error" dialog
If the fail-safe module detects a serious error, the fail-safe automation system outputs the "Fatal error" alarm. The fail-safe
module must then be reset.
Note
Overheating
This message is also displayed when the HMI device overheats.
Undercooling
A warning is displayed when the temperature at the HMI device falls below the permissible minimum temperature.
Check the ambient climatic conditions.
Maintenance and servicing
The data in the operating instructions "Mobile Panels 2nd Generation" applies.
Note
Condensation endangers the interior of the device
After transporting the HMI device at low temperatures or if the HMI device has been exposed to temperature fluctuations,
moisture can condense on the HMI device or inside the device (condensation). The device can be damaged with
consequences for the machine or plant.
•
Adjust the HMI device to room temperature before opening the housing.
•
Do not expose the HMI device to direct radiation from a heater to warm it up.
•
In case of condensation, dry the HMI device completely or open it only after a waiting period of about 4 hours.
Cleaning the device
Note
Cleaning of the coated glass touch screen
Be careful not to damage the glass touch screen and the coating of the touch screen.
Use a cleaning cloth and dishwashing liquid or foaming screen cleaners. Apply as little pressure as possible on the touch
screen when cleaning.
