Instructions on how to replace and adjust the TwinMic System for
BTE instruments
Please make sure you have received special training by S.A.T. Erlangen prior repairs on the TwinMic System.
When the TwinMic System has to be replaced comparison measurements as well as omni-/directional measure-
ments is required. Necessary measuring equipment:
PC, HIPRO, FONIX 6500 Test system, HICOSS (Service Software) V7.0 or higher, SIFIT V7.0 or higher.
1. Never
separate the microphone pair (Order No. 10 598 794). The complete pair
must
be replaced. If one
microphone fails both microphones
must
be replaced.
2.
Front (Mic1) and Rear (Mic2) test and adjustment:
a) Input sound pressure level (Fonix): 60 dB
b) The gain is adjusted automatically through HICOSS.
(Calibration: Mic1/F11, Mic2/F12)
c) Positioning the hearing instrument:
All microphones in the FONIX 6500 must have equal distance to the loud speaker and must show to the left
side.
