The module offers the following functions:

Monitoring of the connected safety devices

Special IO functions (e.g., fast shut off)

Safety outputs have test pulses for detecting short-circuits in the wiring.

•

Voltage is supplied to the module via the backplane bus. Communication with the
main module of the safety controller also occurs via the backplane bus.
