Operation (General)
9.3
Checking the operational state (visual control)
9.3.1
Features of a safe operational state
Analyzer unit
●
Gas supply function correct / gas resources are adequate (refer to pressure indication)
for
– Instrument air
– Fuel gas
– Calibration gas
●
Fan (if installed) is running (noise, air movement).
●
Heating of the sample gas line (if installed) is functioning.
Operating unit
●
Fan is running (noise), air circulation is sufficient.
●
The “OK” LED lights up.
●
No malfunction messages (display).
9.3.2
Indications of an unsafe operational state
Analyzer unit
– Auxiliary gas supply function is incorrect or the gas reserves are insufficient.
– Fan (if installed) does not run or the air circulation is impeded.
Only valid for the analyzer types “inline” and “industrial housing”.
– The surrounding tube of the sampling probe is deformed (glass insulation tube is
severely damaged).
Operating unit
– The “OK” LED does not light up.
– The “Fault” or “Service” LED lights up and malfunction messages are displayed.
General causes
– Incorrect operating conditions (e.g. ambient temperature, gas pressure)
– Accumulated heat/ambient temperature too high
– Moisture condensation/wetness on the device
– Pronounced deformation of the device
– Defective/damaged connections or connection lines
●
Calibration interrupts measurement mode.
●
The alarm messages of the EuroFID signal a high or low measured value.
This does not indicate unsafe operation of the EuroFID, but can require an
operational reaction to this situation.
The “Service” LED also lights up if the “System in Service” message was
activated (
). In this status the EuroFID does not display any
current measured values.
CAUTION:
Danger caused by unsafe operational state
If the device is or could be in an unsafe state:
Take the device out of operation, disconnect from the mains voltage and
signal voltage and secure against impermissible or accidental start-up.
