Installation
1 Secure the terminal module to a mounting rail.
2 Connect the plug connector X1 of the terminal module with the “Analog and digital I/O”
plug connector of the operating unit. To this purpose use the special connection cable
(order no.
→ P. 200, §16.10.6 ):

Connect the “Connecting module” plug connector to the terminal module.

Connect the “Remote unit” plug connector to the operating unit.
3 Check the possible configurations of the terminal module ( → P. 69, §7.1.3 ).
4 Establish the signal connections as required ( → P. 70, §7.1.4 ).

Configuration options (jumper)
Use of terminal strip X10 or X20
Several signal connections can be used either on terminal strip X20 or X10. Two plug-in
jumpers (jumper
→ P. 70, §7.1.4 ) serve for configuration purposes.

For connection on X20: Close the respective plug-in jumpers (position jumpers).

For connection on X10: Open the respective plug-in jumpers (remove jumpers).
Feedback loop for “Malfunction” and “Alarm”
A feedback loop can be set up for the “Malfunction” and “Alarm” signal outputs.
Application example: A relay is controlled with the signal of the operating unit; the
potential-free relay switching contacts are provided on the feedback signal connection.

To use the “Malfunction” and “Alarm” signal outputs directly: Close the respective plug-
in jumpers (position jumpers → P. 70, §7.1.4 ).

To use the feedback loop: Open the respective jumpers (remove the jumpers).
The connector pin assignment of the connection cable is not identical.

Do not confuse the ends of the connection cable.
