Exhaust gas lines
Use non-corrosive pipe materials for the exhaust gas lines (e.g. PTFE tube).
Install the exhaust gas lines at a continuously descending angle so that condensed
liquid can be reliably drained away.
If necessary due to the composition of the sample gas:
– Route the exhaust gases to a suitable collection point (e.g. exhaust duct).
– Collect the condensate safely and dispose of in a suitable manner.
Route the exhaust gas line(s) to a collection point
– Which is at atmospheric pressure
– Where there are no pronounced pressure fluctuations.
If fitted, lay the “Bypass” line separately from the “Exhaust” line to the collection point
with a larger vessel diameter.
NOTICE:
Condensate could occur in the exhaust gas lines.
Lay the exhaust gas lines so that they cannot become obstructed by
condensed liquid.
Protect exhaust gas lines against icing.
CAUTION:
Contaminants in the condensate
Condensate from the exhaust gases contains substances from the sample
gas. These substances can be chemically corrosive and/or must be disposed
of separately.
If necessary:
Collect the condensate from the exhaust gas lines and
dispose of correctly.
NOTICE:
Counterpressure and pressure fluctuations at the exhaust connections
– Can affect the measured values
– Can prevent ignition of the FID flame.
Do not install any long, thin exhaust gas lines.
If the EuroFID is installed in a ventilated or air conditioned enclosed area
and the ventilation/air conditioning system in this area can create
overpressure or pressure fluctuations:
Do not install the exhaust gas line
so that it discharges into this area.
NOTICE:
In some applications, solids can become deposited in the exhaust gas lines.
During operation, check whether solids become deposited in the exhaust
gas lines.
If necessary, clean the exhaust gas lines regularly as a precautionary
measure.
Otherwise the exhaust gas lines could become obstructed. Measurement
would then be interrupted as a result.
