Connecting 2D LiDAR sensor to configuration PC
The 2D LiDAR sensor(s) are connected to the configuration PC via a USB cable.

Open the black plastic cover with the screwdriver included with delivery. The micro USB
female connector of the TiM351 is now accessible.
NOTE!
Protect the TiM351 from moisture and dust when the USB female connector is
open. The black plastic cover must be screwed flush in order to comply with enclosure
rating IP 67 in operation.

Connect the 2D LiDAR sensor to a free USB female connector on the configuration PC
using a suitable shielded high-speed USB cable. The USB device will be automatically
detected by the PC.
NOTE!
When the sensor is connected to the configuration PC for the firsts time, the
USB drivers used by the sensor will be installed on the PC.
The
Install device driver
message appears in the status bar of the screen window.

Successful installation of the device driver software is confirmed with a corresponding
note in the status bar.
If the USB connection is established before SOPAS is started, the SOPAS configuration
software is started automatically. Connection to the 2D LiDAR sensor is automated.
