Jumpers
Several hardware settings are made through the use of jumper caps to connect jumper pins
on the main board. The jumper's pin 1 on main board will be on the top or on the left when
holding the main board with the keyboard connector away from yourself.
Jumpers with two pins will be shown as for Close (On) and for Open (Off).
To connect the pins, simply place a plastic jumper cap over the two pins.
CPU Host Frequency Setting - JP6 and JP10
The CPU host frequency is set to Auto-detecting by BIOS. It is defined according to Intel
Celeron CPU specification. We strongly advise novice users not to modify the original
setting, for setting an incorrect value may damage your CPU.
For experienced users, the HOT-687V mainboard provides an alternative Hard-Configure
function to adjust your CPU host frequency manually.
Note:
Before you adjust your CPU host frequency by jumper, you need to
set CPU Host Clock (CPU/PCI) to Disabled in Chipset Features Setup of
BIOS setup program.
Insert mini-jumper caps properly on JP6 and JP10 to reach desired CPU
Host Frequency, as shown in the following table.
