DT 6008/6032 Digital Transmitter
Description
The DT 60xx Digital Transmitter is the central modulator unit in the DIS
digital infrared system. It accepts audio from CU 5905/6105/6110 Central
Units and from AO 6004/ 6008 Audio Output Units or other audio sources.
The DT 60xx modulates these signals onto carrier waves.
These digital carrier waves are transmitted directly to the RA 60xx Digital
Infrared Radiators - located in the room - for wireless digital language dis-
tribution to the DR 60xx Digital Receivers.
The DIS Digital IR system is the perfect choice for conference centres,
international organizations, universities, or any place where simultaneous
interpretations is required. But it can also provide perfect quality, wireless
multi-track audio in other situations where multi-lingual sound is needed
i.e. in museums or cinemas.
The DIS Digital IR system can transmit audio in four different quality
modes:
• Mono, standard quality, maximum 32 channels
• Mono, premium quality, maximum 16 channels
• Stereo, standard quality, maximum 16 channels
• Stereo, premium quality, maximum 8 channels
The standard quality mode uses less bandwidth and can be used for
transmitting speech. For music the premium quality mode gives near CD
quality.

The DT 6008/6032 features multiple channel settings. Each individual
channel can be set to any of the 8 or 32 channels.
