GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS (CONT’D.)
CONDUCTOR CAN RESULT IN A RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK. CHECK WITH A QUALIFIED
ELECTRICIAN OR SERVICE PERSON IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT AS TO WHETHER THE OUTLET IS
PROPERLY GROUNDED. DO NOT MODIFY THE PLUG PROVIDED WITH THE APPLIANCE – IF
IT WILL NOT FIT THE OUTLET, HAVE A PROPER OUTLET INSTALLED BY A QUALIFIED
ELECTRICIAN.
This appliance is for use on a nominal 120-volt circuit, and has a grounded plug that looks like the plug
illustrated in
sketch A
. A temporary adaptor that looks like the adaptor illustrated in
sketches B and C
may
be used to connect this plug to a 2-pole receptacle as shown in
sketch B
if a properly grounded outlet is
not available. The temporary adaptor should be used only until a properly grounded outlet
(sketch A)
can
be installed by a qualified electrician. The green colored rigid ear, lug or the like extending from the adaptor
must be connected to a permanent ground such as a properly grounded outlet box cover. Whenever the
adaptor is used, it must be held in place by a metal screw.
IN CANADA, THE USE OF A TEMPORARY ADAPTOR IS NOT PERMITTED BY THE CANADIAN ELECTRICAL
CODE. Make sure that the appliance is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No
adaptor should be used with this appliance.
UNPACKING
1. Remove axle, wheels, and hardware package from foam insert.
2. Remove fan housing from carton.
ASSEMBLY
WHEEL INSTALLATION
You will find 2 wheels, 2 spacers, 2 cotter pins, 2 washers and an axle with your unit. Please assemble as
follows:
1. Place one cotter pin in one end of the axle.
2. Slide on one washer.
3. Slide wheel onto axle next to washer.
4. Slide spacer onto axle next to wheel.
5. Locate the wheel/axle bracket and slide the end without the wheel into the bracket
hole until the axle comes out the other end.
6. Slide remaining spacer, then wheel, then washer onto this end.
7. Insert cotter pin into the remaining hole in the axle to hold wheel in place.
