Flat Sanding

Disc sanding.
To start disc sanding operations, do these
steps:
1.
UNPLUG THE SANDER!
2.
Set the table tilt angle to the desired posi-
tion by loosening the table lock knobs.
Figure 17
shows the table at 45˚.
3.
Plug the sander into the power supply.
4.
Start the sander.
5.
Hold the workpiece firmly in both hands as
shown in
Figure 18
. Note—
Always keep
the workpiece on the side of the wheel
that is rotating down toward the table.
This will keep the workpiece from flying
out of your hands from the rotational
forces.

Disc Sanding
Flat sanding operations can be performed with
the sanding belt in the vertical position or hori-
zontal position.
To start flat sanding operations with the belt
vertical, do these steps:
1.
UNPLUG THE SANDER!
2.
Make sure the sanding table is square to
the belt.
3.
Plug the sander into the power supply.
4.
Start the sander.
5.
Hold the workpiece firmly as shown in
Figure 19
.
