Performance test
The performance of the column can be checked by calculating the number of theoretical plates under
the following conditions:
1) Specimen and injection amount:
KS-801 1.0% ethylene glycol aqueous solution 5 µL
KS-802 2.5% ethylene glycol aqueous solution 5µL
KS-803 0.5% ethylene glycol aqueous solution 15 µL
KS-804 0.8% glucose aqueous solution 5 µL
KS-805 0.4% glucose aqueous solution 5 µL
KS-806 0.8% glucose aqueous solution 5 µL
2) Mobile phase:
distilled water
3) Flow rate:
1.0 mL/min
4) Column temperature:
50°C
5) Detector:
High-sensitivity refractive index detector such as Shodex RI
6) Calculation formula:
NTP = 5.54 x (Rt/W)2
where NTP: Number of theoretical plate, Rt: Retention time, W: Peak half width
