Engine operation
After engine warm up, gradually depress throttle trigger to in-
crease engine RPM to operating speed.
Engine warm-up
1.
Once the engine starts, return throttle position lever forward
(idle), allow it to warm up for 2 to 3 minutes at idling (i.e. low
speed).
2.
Warming the engine helps to lubricate its internal workings
more smoothly. Allow the engine to warm up fully, especially
when it is cold.
3.
Never run the engine without the blower pipes fitted.
Starting a warm engine
The starting procedure is the same as Cold Start except DO
NOT close the choke.
1.
Ignition Switch
Move ignition switch to "I" (START) position.
2.
Throttle Position Lever
Move throttle position lever midway between idle and full
throttle positions.
3.
Purge Bulb
Pump purge bulb until fuel is visible and flows freely in the
clear fuel tank return line.
4.
Recoil Starter
Place the unit on a flat, clear area. Firmly grasp throttle grip
with left hand and rapidly pull recoil starter handle/rope until
engine fires.
Stopping the engine
1.
Throttle Position Lever
Release throttle trigger. Move throttle position lever forward
to idle position and allow engine to return to idle before shut-
ting off engine.
2. Move ignition switch to "O" (STOP) position.
NOTE
Allow engine to warm up before use.
