ROOm2 SOURCE PLAYBACk
• This function allows enjoying one source in the main room and playing another in a different room at the same time.
■
Notes:
• Only the analog input signal from the ROOM2 source can be heard. So, be sure to make analog audio connection and select
analog input for ROOM2 source.
• Even when this receiver enters the standby mode, in such a case that “R2”, etc. light up dim and the SURROUND </>,
STEREO and VOLUME -/+ buttons on the front panel light up blue as it does in the operating mode, meaning only the
ROOM2 circuitry operates, the ROOM2 source can be played independently.
• When you do not use the ROOM2 function, turn off the ROOM2 function to save electricity.
• “ROOM2 ~” is displayed for several seconds.
• Each time the ROOM2 button is pressed, the ROOM2
mode changes as follows :
ON : To turn on the ROOM2 function.
↕
(“R2” lights up.)
OFF : To turn it off. (“R2” goes off.)

Notes:
• To hear the sound of ROOM2 source from the speakers
connected to the SURROUND BACK/ROOM2 terminal,
you should set the “AMP” to “R2” first. (For details, refer to
“When selecting the AMP ASSIGN” on page 35.)
• When the ROOM2 mode is set to OFF, you cannot select
the ROOM2 input and adjust the ROOM2 volume.
• Each time this button is pressed, the ROOM2 input can
be selected among CD, AUX, F.AUX, TUNER, VIDEO1,
V2/IPD.

Turn on the ROOM2 function.

Adjust the ROOM2 volume.

Start play on the component related to the ROOM2 source.
