DRIVETRAIN
The drivetrain of a bicycle refers to all parts that transmit power to the rear wheel
including the pedals, crankset, chain, and freewheel/cassette.
PEDALS
Your bicycle comes equipped with BMX platform pedals. Each of the pedals is marked
with an “L” and a “R” to indicate which is the left and which is the right side pedal. To
install the left side pedal place the pedal threads into the left crank arm and turn the
pedal counter-clockwise with a 15mm wrench. To install the right side pedal place the
pedal counter-clockwise with a 15mm wrench. To install the right side pedal place the
pedal threads into the right crank arm and turn the pedal clockwise with a 15mm
wrench. Make sure that the pedals are tight every time you ride. Do not ride your bike
with loose pedals- it will damage the cranks and the pedals and can cause you to fall
and be severely injured.
