Scale runs on four AA batteries (purchase separately). 
1. To install batteries, turn scale over and remove two battery

compartment covers, located on the right and left side of the
unit. 

2. Insert two AA batteries into each compartment, observing

/– polarities as indicated. 

3. Replace the battery compartment covers.

Note:

To conserve battery power, the scale shuts off automatically

after a few seconds of inactivity.
