12. Troubleshooting
Problems and Solutions
If you have any problems with your Internet fax, first refer to the
following troubleshooting guide.
Problems sending or receiving e-mail
Problem
Solution
The Internet fax is unable
to connect to your provider
or an error occurs after
connecting.
Make sure the telephone line is connected and you
hear a dial tone when you pick up the handset. If the
line is connected properly, your Internet service may
be temporarily unavailable. Try again later.
If the problem persists,, one or more of your provider
settings may not be correct. To check your settings,
print out the ISP Setting Information List (press the
FUNCTION
key,
8
, the
▲
key, and then the
START
key—see page 53). Contact your provider to find out
what the correct settings are.
How do I send to multiple
e-mail addresses?
Press the
ENTER
key aftering entering each
address. A semi-colon will appear after the address
to separate it from the address you enter next.
How do I type a capital
letter or a symbol marked
above a letter key?
To type a capital letter, press the
SHIFT
key (do not
hold it down), and then press the desired letter key.
To type a symbol, press the
ALT
key (do not hold it
down), and then press the letter key under the
marked symbol.
MEMORY IS FULL
appears in the display
when you try to send an
Internet fax.
Internet faxes consisting of a large number of pages
or pages scanned at high resolution may exceed the
memory capacity of the Internet fax. Separate the
pages into smaller batches and send each batch
separately.
Why does the Internet fax
print each received e-mail
message on a separate
page?
To save paper, see
Paper saving (white skip mode)
on page 68.
