Charging the Battery

Using the Charger
1.

Connect the USB interface of the cable to the provided AC
charger

. Open the cover of the external connector, and

connect the provided USB data cable horizontally to the
external socket located at the bottom of the phone until it
clicks .

Connect the AC charger to an AC outlet.

When the phone is charging, the battery status icon (

)

displays the current status. The Small Light also lights up.

Note

•

Charging time may vary depending on the state of the battery and
other conditions. (See “Battery” on page 129.)

•

If you connect the USB interface of the cable to a PC’s USB port when
your phone is turned on, you can charge the battery using the PC.
Note the following when charging your phone with a PC:

•

Be sure that the PC is powered from an AC outlet.

•

Install the USB driver from the provided CD-ROM before charging.

•

It is recommended that you use the AC charger when you wish
to fully charge the battery.

To Disconnect the Charger

Unplug the AC charger from the AC outlet.

Push and hold the side buttons of the USB data cable

then disconnect the cable from the external socket of the
phone .

Close the cover.

Note

•

Do not use any non-approved chargers as they may damage
your phone and invalidate any warranties, see “Battery” on
page 129 for details.

•

Forcibly disconnecting the charger may cause malfunction.
